Choices

If I had to choose between losing power in a wind-storm and losing
cable in that same storm, I'd rather lose cable. Especially since the
temps dropped overnight.

And losing cable but keeping power is exactly what happened. We took
advantage of the situation to run to Walmart and buy our digital
converter box. Worked just fine, except that it didn't come with an
antenna. And therefore didn't locate any digital stations - but it
did help us get the analog stations better, so we could see the
weather.

But the cable company is right on top of it. They'll be by on Friday
to check it out.

As long as it's done by Sunday at 2:00. Daytona 500 time!

Bad_vpn_message_-_detail

Late night. We were at the old house for a few hours, struggling
frustratedly against electrical circuitry, and loading up some heavy
stuff (skids, a box of tools, etc.).

Then we got home (had to scrape frost off my car!) and I had the
"opportunity" to work a few more hours, for work.

Now this light post and off to bed.

Oh, and my mom's knee surgery went real well. Now that she's a pro at
knee surgery, she has run out of knees to work on. Poor Mom . . .

A funny - my work requires that I connect over VPN - provides
security. But sometimes I wonder about the software. If the VPN
software drops the connection, I get the message below. I would think
that a simple "OK" button would suffice, but no . . . . .
